As a daily practice or in times of stress, by gently holding each finger and palm for 2-5 minutes - you can further improve the quality of overall wellness and/or address a specific imbalance or attitude and experience a shift. 

You can hold each finger and palm anytime or anywhere. It is empowering to know you can sustain yourself, and that Self-help can be done discreetly.

Main-Central

The Main Central Vertical Flow is the source of our life energy. This pathway runs down the center of the front of the body and back up the spine.  Jin Shin Jyutsu works like “jumper cables” to recharge the “life battery.”

Harmonizing the Main Central regularly can help you feel centered.  Some people find it calming and use it before they go to sleep, while others prefer using it to start their day.

For optimum results, do this Self-help process daily leaving your hands in the described positions for 2 to 5 minutes, or until the pulses you feel at your fingertips synchronize.  Breathe slowly and deeply as you hold each position:

Step 1.  Place your right fingers or palm on top center of head, where they will remain until step 6 (R1).  Place your left fingers between eyebrows (L1).

Step 2.  Move left fingers to the tip of your nose (L2).

Step 3.  Move left fingers to your sternum (center of your chest between your breasts) (L3).

Step 4.  Move left fingers to base of sternum (center of where your ribs start above the stomach) (L5).

Step 5.  Move left fingers to top of the pubic bone (L6).

Step 6.  Keep your left fingers on top of pubic bone and move your right hand to the base of the spine (coccyx).  The palm or back of the right hand may be applied, whichever is more comfortable for you (R2).

Note:  The right hand remains on the top of the head while the left hand moves down the body until the final step.
